Lewis Kemmenoe's total body of work articulates his desire to produce objects that are functional yet subtly subversive, the form of each piece dictated by the organic form of the material from which it is produced — its production an intuitive exploration of the physical act of object-making. Having studied at Central Saint Martins, and later at the Royal College of Art, Kemmenoe’s fascination with functional objects naturally evolved into the production furniture — for which he pulls multifarious influences from architecture, fashion and design.
